"That's weird....I just ate an hour ago." All of a sudden, Ashley's tummy was growling. It wasn't just that.....she felt a deep churning down in the pit of her stomach. She tried to ignore it, but her car happened to be driving past an endless string of fast food restaurants. She involuntarily licked her lips. Her mind wandered to her fridge back at home. An aspiring chef, Ashley was always experimenting with recipes, though she rarely had time to eat them and usually gave them away. As a consequence, the fridge was starting to get really full.
When she finally got home, the first thing Ashley did was head for the refrigerator. Ashley yanked the door yanked open, revealing a fully-stocked interior: heaps upon heaps of desserts, all covered in plastic. Totally untouched. Begging to be devoured.
"I'd better take off this ring." Ashley remembered. "It's so pretty. I don't want it to get sticky."
She tried tugging the ring off her finger, but it wouldn't budge.
"What???" she cried in dismay. "It fit perfectly when I put it on..." Try as she might, the ring was fused to her finger.
The sound of rustling plastic filled the kitchen. The saran-wrap coverings on Ashley's cakes were rippling in the air. Ashley couldn't take it anymore. With the ring still gripped to her hand, she licked her lips and reached both arms inside the fridge, grabbing the sides of a enormous chocolate cake.
