A little wine with a little whining

"Go back and watch TV and I'll get us both a glass of wine."

Stacy went back into the living room and popped in Notting Hill, though she'd seen a few times. It was something she enjoyed though,

and it was time with her friend Amanda. They could sit and reminisce, talking about he boys they used to date. Who'd have thought they'd be

middle aged women now. Something nagged at her though...something told her this could not possibly be...even screamed it at her from

somewhere back in the nether regions of her mind.

"Here you go," Amanda said as she handed her the wine glass, and sat down with one of her own. Amanda was a few years her junior,

Stacy being the older of the two at 52 as compared to Amanda's 46, yet they had met on the job and become good friends.

As that voice came back into her mind, she voiced her concerns out loud.

"Amanda dear, I know this is going to sound bizarre...but..."

"Go ahead Stacy old gal, spit it out. We're not getting any younger...well, at least you aren't," she replied with a grin.

"So I am right, I am getting older," the 56 year old said as she fanned herself due to a hot flash hitting.

"Yes, and I'm getting younger. Congrats, you did figure it out. I wondered how long it would take before I had to tell you the story."

"Story, what story there girlie?" she inquired, as she passed 65. Her hair had gone mostly gray now, and her skin had taken a more weathered look.

"It all began..."
