The unicorn remains silent and still as you snuggle up against her, she is patient and quiet and once the sun has dipped below the horizon and she is certain you are in a deep and dreamless sleep she gently grabs you by the back of the neck and with the utter most care lifts you off the ground and onto her back. You react by simply snuggling into her soft coat and unconsciously wrapping your arms around the bottom of her neck. She watches you for a moment before very carefully pricking your forehead with her horn as soon as she feels your mind connect with hers she stands up tall and proud before walking softly into the thick forest. While she walks and you sleep soundly the unicorn begins so gently search through your mind and bring forth all those unwanted human memories. She knew that her milk was not yet fully ripened and its effects would only last a few hours and to avoid a panic from you she needed to erase and alter your memories.
As she begins to gently erase and alter your memories she gently sings softly to you, her maternal touch filling you with warmth and comfort and as the minutes tick by you begin to forget. The first memories she targets are those of your mum and dad with a soft nudge and a gentle whisper they are gone replaced with the false memory of growing up in a care home from the age of four, your parents tragically dieing in a care crash you were the only survivor. Next she alters the events of the last few years all the memories of your friends are erased and replaced with gentle memories of being lost and alone in the forest two years ago. The unicorn creates the perfect scenario for both you and her. Lost in the forest two years ago she finds you and knowing that you had trespassed upon the ancient lands of her kind takes you in as her adopted son with the promise that she will make you a true unicorn one day. She adds a few more little things to your know altered memories, first among them she insures that you see her as a mother figure and are dependent on her for warmth and comfort. Then with a few quick softly spoken words and a small nudge and quick flash within your mind she seals away the need for her milk within your mind effectively making her your only means of survival.
Happy with her work the unicorn gently slips from your mind leaving you with peaceful and happy memories of a false life and also her promise to one day make you a true unicorn. Focusing on the moment your new mother decides to take you deeper into the forest and closer to other of her kind. Mating season is fast approaching and she needs to prepare you for what is to come.The unicorn is lost in her thoughts as she moves closer to the ancient parts of the forest happy that her plan has so far been succeeded, suddenly she hears the snapping of branches and quickly looks up to see.....
