“Cripes!!” You shout just before the sole of MJ’s boot (now casting a 20 foot shadow) descends upon you. Using your spider agility you quickly leap out of the way narrowly avoiding getting stepped on at the last second.
You shiver as you hear MJ’s foot land on the ground behind you sending vibrations across the floor and making you realize how close you came to decorating the sole of your wife’s boots. How did this happen? You wonder. Is this an attack from one of my enemies? Maybe long term affects from being bitten by a radioactive spider?
Your speculation about what could have possibly caused your sudden reduction in size is cute short as your wife lifts her foot again. “MJ Look Down!!!” You call flipping backwards to once again avoid her footfalls. It’s no use, you decide dodging another dangerous footstep. MJ can’t hear me from this distance. You quickly dive into the narrow space between your kitchen counter and refrigerator safely protecting yourself from your wife’s dangerous feet.
“Whew,” You say taking a much needed breather. “I’ve told MJ to watch her step before but never with this context in mind.”
“Whoa what happened here?” Your wife exclaims looking at the ground.
Your heart skips a beat. Could your wife see you? You move to get to her.
“There’s glass everywhere! I’d better get a broom to clean this up.”
Broom!!! You don’t need a spider sense to realize the danger. You’re not about to get swept away with the shattered kitchenware. Hastily returning to your safe spot, you consider what to do next. You need to get close enough to MJ so that she would be able to recognize you without getting stepped on, swept away or encountering any other danger that would make you go splat. As she returns with a broom and begins to sweep up the mess you see a risky opportunity. While she is facing away from you, you might be able to climb her leg and make your way up her body getting close enough to her ear for her to hear you. You just have to hope she doesn’t suddenly take a step backwards while you’re trying to get there. Then again it might be better to take a safer approach to this. Maybe if you climb to a higher location like the kitchen counter she’ll see you. She’s bound to pass by there eventually.
