Deep Space Station 450. One of the most remote space stations in known space and also one of the newest. It was built just three years ago and it's fairly large. The Deep Space Station has 20 decks to it, and at least 5 of those decks are fuel tanks. Deep Space Station 450 is virtually a gas station for spaceships on their way to the mines of George's Planet, the most remote world that mankind has ever been to thus far. With the help of the Scaven, mankind has ventured into the vast reaches of space and started to colonize other Earth-like planets.
William Anderson worked on the station. He was, in fact, the de facto commander of the space station. The newly formed Allied Planets promised to send someone to replace William. But that was more than 2 years ago, and William just wanted to get off the space station. William had dreams of exploring space, not stuck at a space station that hardly anybody visited. William had built the space station almost single-handedly. He had some help with Class-2 drones and Jeri. Jeri was a Scaven female that was a specialist with machines, something of an oddity amongst other female scaven. Most female Scaven tend to be rather lazy creatures and they would eat non-stop. All Scaven had huge appetites. William and Jeri were the only crew of the remote space station, unless you counted the nearly 3 dozen drones the station had. On occasion, the station would get visitors that would stay for months at a time....but right now, the station was a lonely place to be.
William was on the bridge of the station, having a light snack and watching out for any approaching ships. Jeri was off somewhere fixing up the engines of the station. Unlike most Scaven females, Jeri was a little over 200 pounds while other scaven females were pushing 400. Male scaven tended to hover around 300 pounds. Heavier scaven moved with a certain grace that defied how much they weighed.
"Hey, Jeri" said William over the intercom. "you want to come up here and have your lunch?"
"In a minute, boss" came the reply.
William sighed and looked at the station's sensors. Nothing within 20-light years of the station.
