Alice sank back into the comfy sofa and let out a long sigh. Just then, she heard something crinkle against her toes. She felt a twinge in her belly and her eyes opened wide. Struggling against her big stomach, she peered over her legs to see if there was some candy under the couch that she missed -- she was disappointed to see it was just another empty wrapper, sticky with chocolate and crumpled beneath her bare foot. Alice's excitement was short-lived, and she sat back in the sofa and gently pushed the wrapper away with her foot.
That's when she noticed her belly was making some peculiar noises -- not just normal growling, but dull, sputtering groans. Even though her mouth was still covered with potato chip bits, Alice felt her hunger continuing to gnaw at her. She hurriedly glanced around for the phone, and once she spotted it, she saw her grease-laden fingers reaching for it. It was almost like she wasn't in control of her hand.
"Screw TREATING MYSELF. I need some real food....NOW." She dialed the number of the closest pizza place.
"Hi. I want to order a large pepperoni with extra cheese. And a liter of soda. Um, wait...can you make that TWO large pepperonis??"
Alice was smacking her salty lips as she spoke, like she was salivating at the words.
"...and some mozzarella sticks. Thanks, please hurry!"
With a glum look, Alice turned the TV back on and waited for the delivery guy. After thirty minutes, the doorbell rang. "Finally!", Alice said as she sprang off the sofa. She felt the ominous crunch of potato chip bags and wrappers under her feet as she walked toward the door. When she opened it, she saw the delivery person, who happened to be:
