A nanny. Such an obvious solution, why didn't Phoebe think of it first?
Because it was outdated? Because the modern woman was supposed to be able to tend to her house herself? Phoebe snorted as she considered that. She was 380 pounds of woman run ragged by two energetic yet also lumbering, waddling balls of fat. What 'modern woman' had to deal with her situation?
She plopped herself in front of her computer and started looking up nannies and au pairs. She didn't need Mary Poppins, she just needed someone who could watch Ally and Sophie for a few hours a day so she could have some 'me' time.
"It won't be permanent," she promised herself. "Just for a few weeks, a couple months. Things will settle down after Christmas, the girls will be back in school, and I'll be back at a hundred percent."
After looking through countless ads and sites, not sure what she was looking for at first, Phoebe soon found the perfect candidate.
