Unluckily for Jason, his mother was nearly finished with breakfast. When he walked to Heather, she gave him the evil eye. Jason wisely stood down. Sadly, that left... Jason shuddered at the thought.
"I'm sorry, Jason. I'm sure I can whip up some leftovers for you..." Amy said.
Immediately, Kate snatched Jason up and smothered him against her chest, and said, "No, he can eat off of my plate! After all, I love my big brother!"
Amy displayed an odd look on her face while Heather rolled her eyes. Jason wasn't buying one second of it. "Fine, just be careful with him, and if I catch you trying to eat him again..."
"Now, why would I do that? I may have tried several times in the past, (with varying success) but I was a child back then. I've matured." Amy just continued eating her breakfast.
Kate set him down on her plate. While Jason nibbled cautiously, he looked at Kate, who was currently stuffing her face, while struggling to avoid eye contact. Jason figured that Kate wouldn't be as bold as to eat him while his mom was watching her intently.
