Chapter #4

Carpet Burial

You continue to watch from your bed as the giant woman converse. Their voices were very loud and echoed throughout your room as they talk. Eventually you watch your mom leave and head down the hallway. Annie turns around and looks back in your room. She starts walking in and the floor vibrates with each step of her colossal feet hitting the ground. You stay in your place under the bed as her wrinkly soles become visible as she gets closer and makes dust clouds fly everywhere with each step. She is right in front of you. Looking at her massive, long toes in front of you that were easily the size of small houses, you stay hidden under the bed.

BOOM!

You watch as one of Annie's knees collide onto the ground! You are taken by suprise by this as the ground shakes and fall off balance. Annie's huge face suddenly appears, she gazes in your direction under the bed but you're very tiny and hidden in the darkness of the bed so she can't tell that you're anything more than some kind of dust speck amongst the carpet. Annie then starts to stand up and begins to walk away. Your tiny heart is racing as you watch each booming step she takes until they gradually become quieter and quieter as she exits your bedroom door and walks down the hallway.

You knew that was close. You walk forward from your hiding place under the bed and wonder what you should do. You need to get someone's attention or you may be stuck like this forever but everyone is sooo huge, even if you got their attention you'd have to convince them you aren't a tiny bug. At this size it'll take a monumental effort to even have someone be able to even feel your touches. You walk further along out of the shadow under the bed and through the carpet that was like a tall, thick condensed grass that one could walk on top of.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

You hadn't noticed but your older sister came right back into the room holding her makeup kit in her hand! With her bedroom messy and the bathroom occupied, she decided that your clean room would be a good place to do her makeup. You turn around to run back under the saftey of your bed but Annie is just too big and fast. The wringly sole of her huge barefoot is right above you in an instant!

BOOM!

You are smashed into the carpet and you hear your bones crack at once before you die as Annie promptly crushes you and takes another step to reach your bed where she sits down. She crosses her feet and keeps them facing forward, the same towering sole that crushed you now towers over your speck-sized blood remains casting a large shadow and making for one beautiful temporary gravestone which the tiny bit of blood on the ball of her foot made the writing.
