In this world, almost half the people have the power to shrink people to between the sizes of one inch to twenty inches. The use for this power in recent years has been accepted since that a large amount of people now have it. That use is to shrink and eat people. People with the power are unable to shrink other people with the power. The power doesn't show itself in people until the age of fifteen, so it is illegal to shrink and use or eat people younger than fifteen. So, it is wish of every young person that when they turn fifteen that they have the power; if not, the people that don't have the power usually don't live very long unless they are good at avoiding people with the power. Some people with the power run shrunken people supply businesses and ship the shrunken to restaurants and everyday people that can afford to by a case of shrunken people. It is illegal for guys to eat guys, if a guy is caught eating another guy, it is an immediate sentence of death for the law breaker. It is just fine if a female eats a female. Many restaurants are adding shrunk people to their menus. Restaurants like this have separate menus for men and women, but women can order from the menus made for the men if they want.
Graduation numbers for schools are down, because of the eating of non-shrinker students. Most female teachers that have the power, tend to eat students that continually disrupt class or don't do well in class. Some people with the power don't eat people because they rather keep them as pets or toys. Some are nice enough that if they find a shrunken person that escaped and wants to get back to normal, they will return the person to his or her original size, but that is very rare. Because of this power, some holiday traditions have changed for some families. At Thanksgiving, it isn't unusual to find at the center of a family's table, a stuffed and roasted female, instead of a turkey. Some families do this to their daughters if they find out that their daughters don't have the power.
