You push Chuck away lightly, not in the mood. "Sorry... I just really don't feel it right now." You stand up, looking away. Chuck stares up at you with concern and disappointment, and sighs.
"I get it, this is a lot to take in." He smiles and stands, placing a hand on your shoulder. "But I'm always going to be here for you. Anything you need, I'm here." That manages to bring a smile to your face, however slight, and kiss him on the cheek.
"Thanks, Chuck. I love you."
He replies with a kiss of his own on your lips. "I know."
1 Week Later
You sigh as you stare up at Chuck making the spaghetti. "You may want to use less noodles, babe. I only need a few at this size..." Chuck nods, giving you a sad glance down on the counter. You were already standing at only 6 inches tall. The doctor still hadn't found a way to stop it. And it seemed to be speeding up. To you at least. Chuck had been very supportive, but it was clear that it was hard for him to adjust.
Later on, Chuck finally finishes the spaghetti. You sat near the edge of the large plate, grabbing a noodle for yourself to chew on. "So... how was work today?" you ask, not sure how to start the conversation.
"It was... good," he replied slowly. He seemed distracted to say the least. That happened a lot lately.
"Oh... okay."
Things were silent for a few minutes, just the sounds of you both eating filling the room. You know you had to do something. "Hey, I know it's been a while since we've done anything.... But it seems like you need some release, babe."
Chuck's eyes went wide with surprise. "Wait really?"
