This choice: Jared decides his food would be more tasty with a little slave added to it • Go Back... Suddenly, the feet release their gagging hold of you. Gasping for fresh air, you collapse on the cold hardwood floor. Jared gives you little time to recuperate; his hand reaches under the table and roughly grabs your fragile form. You're lifted very quickly by your shirt collar, which results in a bout of vertigo. When your vision clears, you realize that Jared is holding you in front of his massive face. Apparently, he removed his shirt while you were giving him a foot rub, as his bare torso stretches beneath you. You can't help but goggle at his muscular body. You would have felt similarly about his face, if it wasn't contorted into a taunting leer.
You're removed from your reverie at the sound of his voice. "Hey slave. I've decided to try something different with you." He then reaches for a box sitting on the table with his free hand. He opens it and sets you inside, next to another shrunken man. Although the man is clearly alive, he appears to have been reduced to a state of insanity. His eyes blankly stare at you, showing no signs of cognition of your presence, or the giant's for that matter. Jared then speaks to you, "Mitch, meet Ethan. He was once a normal human being, just like you." Jared then proceeds to tell you how the various tortures that he held on Ethan eventually drove him insane.
You feel a combination of shock and outrage at the circumstances of Ethan's demise. Before you have a chance to say anything, however, Jared asks, "so, would you like to hear my plans for you and Ethan?" You respond with a complacent "yes." With a smug expression, Jared makes another inquiry of you. "Did you read the June 2008 issue of TV Guide?" Again, your response is a yes. "Well, everything I said in there about my diet is true." You don't remember anything about Jared's diet in the magazine. Reading the confusion on your face, Jared fills you in. "I don't have a diet. I have to eat a lot of everything to keep this body." He flexes his arms for emphasis and slaps his rock-hard abs. "My metabolism burns fast, so I need all that I can get, especially in the way of protein." You have a bad feeling about where he's going with this. He continues: "last night, I had a thought, 'aren't humans great sources of protein?'" He looks down at you and licks his lips. "That's right. I'm gonna eat you and Ethan up. The question is how do you wanna go?"  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
