"The effects of the necklace will take about ten minutes to start, so I suggest you get home as quickly as possible." the shopkeeper warned Chiharu.

The reason the necklace needs to minutes in order to make Chiharu's breasts grow is because it needs to scan Chiharu, and figure out her current height, ass size, breast size, how fat she is, and her age. Why? Because it needs to make sure her breast size isn't disproportionate to the rest of her body. However, there is a way for the system to be broken and make anything grow at will. It is to actually dump it in soapy and salty water, causing the minerals in the gems to malfunction for up to 3 years, depending on how long it is soaked in the water combination.
Unfortunately for Chiharu, Yuriko was going to prepare Chiharu a bath for her, as a way of Yuriko being jealous of Chiharu and her already huge boobs. She was going to make the water really bubbly with Chiharu's favorite body soap, and dump a high amount of salt in the water, because she knows that Chiharu dips her head in the water to act like she is scuba diving, and do this until she accidentally breathes in water, which already tastes terrible with soap in it, but adding salt to it will practically make Chiharu be unable to taste anything else for a day or two.
Back to Chiharu, she arrives at home, wondering what the necklace will do. Her chest starts feeling warmer than usual. Chiharu immediately grabs them, seeing her hands slowly being pushed back. She also felt warmer near her legs and torso. Chiharu quickly rushes to her room, and measures her height first. She realizes she grew a whole 5 inches taller, along with her breasts, which where no longer F-cup, but G cup. Then her body cooled down, as the necklace was keeping her in check. Chiharu stopped growing at 5'7 and with G-cup breasts.
"Ohhhh Chiharu!!!" Yuriko called, "I have a bath ready for you!"
"Sorry Yuriko, not interested with a bath right now."
"C'mon Chiharu! I used your favorite body wash!"
This was something Chiharu couldn't pass up on, for she knew it was a waste not to use the soap. "Ok, fine I'm coming." Chiharu answered.
Yuriko quickly changed her devious smile to a face of glee, to trick Chiharu into thinking it was safe as she approached Yuriko with her towel. Yuriko didn't notice how different Chiharu looked, all she cared about was Chiharu's reaction to salty water.
Chiharu took almost an hour to get pranked, which lead to the necklace being malfunctioned for the next 11 months.
"YURIKOOOOOOO!!!!!" Chiharu screamed after getting a mouth-full of soapy and salty water.
