One day, Chiharu Shinonome was in a jewelry store. She wasn't one for jewelry, but she did like to look at all the rings, necklaces, bracelets and what not.
"Anything you wish to purchase?" the shopkeeper asks.
"No." Chiharu answered, "I'm just looking."
The shopkeeper looked at Chiharu. "There's guy you like, isn't there?"
Chiharu turned to the shopkeeper. "W-What?"
"There's a guy you like. I can tell. It's written all over your face. You want this guy and are worried that his attention will go to someone else."
Chiharu's face was red from blushing. 'H-How does this person know?' she wondered. Lately, to Chiharu, it seemed like Densuke Mifune's attention was going to all of the other Eiken girls. The other girls were also interacting with Densuke more and more. Kirika Misono and Yuriko Shinonome threw themselves at Densuke more often these days. Kyoko Morooka and Grace Lin insisted that Densuke help them, even when they didn't need it. They just wanted an excuse to be near him. Komoe Harumachi and Teacher fell on Densuke a lot more. Sometimes it looked to be intentional.
At this rate Chiharu felt that it was only a matter of time before one of the girl finally decided to make Densuke theirs.
"H-How?" Chiharu asked. "How do I get him to pay attention to only me?"
The shopkeeper smiled and went to the back room. When they returned they had with them a necklace. Two gold circles with many small gems were attached to the chain. "Wear this." the shopkeeper said. "This necklace is said to be able to get whoever you feel affection towards to pay attention to only you. It should help you out in a big way."
Wanting to have Densuke's full attention, Chiharu paid for the necklace and left.
'Yes.' the shopkeeper thought as they watched Chiharu leave while wearing the necklace. 'That necklace will help you out in a big way.'
