Ahead of you, two large reflecting eyes twinkle in the night and you see them move upwards as the alpha wolf raises his head.
"Well well well," he speaks in a quizzing voice, "...what have we got here?"
The large male wolf, gray as stone, begins to pad towards you quietly. His pack members still deep asleep. Anxiously you look around. Perhaps there's some place I can run away where he won't get me? Perhaps I can hide somewhere? Can wolves climb trees? By the time you decide that indeed, wolves can't climb trees and that that oak over there should be easy to climb, a large black nose is breathing hot air in your face. You move your gaze up. A toothy grin looks down at you. You see why this wolf is the alpha -- he's huge.
The moonlit silence is broken by the growling of a belly. Not your belly.
"Zookeeper, I'm hungry," says the grey wolf matter-of-factly "now, whose fault would you say that is?"
At a loss for words, you simply move your hand upwards pointing at yourself.
"That's right." The wolf simply nods, "And if you don't bring me some food within five minutes, well, you're going to be my meal. Understood?"
You swallow, nodding. You turn away, facing away from him. Obviously you're going to have to run away as far—
"And don't even think about running." The alpha interrupts your thoughts. "The fence is no obstacle for me to jump. And then you're going to have to deal with a whole pack of angry and very hungry wolves. You wouldn't want that, now would you?"
"N-no sir!" you hastily reply.
"Then get to it. You have four minutes."
Your heart races as you swiftly walk off, frantically trying to think something up. What're you going to do?!
