You don't approach the the herd of deer near the middle of the habitat. You go about your chores, cleaning you what the deer have left behind, refilling the water trough, and dumping a nice pile of dried grasses and hay where the previous pile had been...all the while, you were being watched.
As you finish spreading out the hay, you see movement out of the corner of your right eye. You glance in that direction and see that it is a lone deer walking towards you. You can't tell if it is a male or female, since it is walking in the shadows of some trees as it approaches you. You figure that it is coming over to be the first to get dibs on the fresh hay.
