The next table you were going to take the order for, was occupied by a cute young college guy. You walked up to the table and said, "Hi, my name is Sarah, and I will be your server today, so have you chosen one of our delicious girls on the menu." The guy looks up at you and smiles as he sees your lovely form, "Well I really don't like the looks of any of the girls on this menu." You frowned, "Well sir, what we have on the menu is what have in stock today, so you have to pick one of them." You nearly jumped up five feet as the guy grabbed your thigh and started caressing it. "I like you," the guy said, "You are just what I am hungry for, I am ordering you." You broke out in a cold sweat being nervous at such a reply, but you were confident, "I am a server, that is all I am employed for, I am not on the menu. You need to chose something on the menu or leave." The guy laughed, "Okay honey buns, you go tell your manager that I want you for lunch or he is loosing a paying customer." You sighed, "I'll do that, but he is just going to come out here and tell you that servers are not on the menu." The guy laughed again as you walked off to your manager's office.
You knew that this problem was going to be easily dealt with and you could get back to work. You entered the office and told your manager what happened. He sighed and frowned like he really hated to have to do something. He went over to a nearby shelf and pulled down a large clean silver platter and handed it to you and said, "Go back out there and put this on the table, strip off your uniform, get on the platter and tell him to enjoy his meal." You were stunned, "What!? I'm not doing that!" Your manager replied, "You signed the contract, you will be served for lunch." You were puzzled, "This wasn't in my contract, I didn't sign anything that said I was food." Your manager pointed to the door, "Sorry, apparently you didn't read the fine print. It said that the reason you are being paid so much for a serving job is that if a customer finds that he or she wants you instead of what is on the menu, you are to serve yourself to that customer. So, get out there and feed that guy before he leaves, taking his money elsewhere." You in shock, "B-but, but..." Your manager rose his voice, "Go! I have work to do, I have to put out another add for a new waitress." You finally got the energy to leave the office, and then you slowly headed for the young guy's table. You were mad at yourself that you hadn't read the fine print. You didn't know what to do now, you didn't want to be some guy's lunch.
How did you decided to handle this situation?
