The radiation of the shrink ray was still drifting through the area and this dilute, it would effect anything around its impact radius, cats, dogs and any complex organism. For Khesk, the distances around him seemed to swell and grow at an exponentially changing rate. For a wolf, he was between tall and average but was now starting to hit the average and short range, moving through it at a remarkable pace.
Within seconds, the more than an inch deep pit made by his feet and pads, surrounded by more three or four deep made by his claws was a substantial part of his vision. First he found himself standing in one footprint with room for barely both his feet, the pooled sweat from his formerly massive pads just coming up to the bottom of his foot. Soon he was in a pit deep enough to be some kid's splashing pool and later, deep enough to be turned into a fair-sized fox-hole. Through the whole process he was staring around in shock as pounds multiplied into hundred and then thousands of pounds, followed by the ounces, keeping in time with the distances. A single pace soon came to take up a few hundred as his feet got smaller and his legs shorter.
Suddenly, his thoughts were whiped over to the cat from earlier, standing almost as tall as he was now...
