Chapter #3

The Big City

    by: Flangies Author IconMail Icon
You are very nervous as you look out the back seat window of the car. In the distance, you can see the huge city; the city where your new school is. You have to wonder what your parents were thinking, sending you to a school filled with big hairy monsters. Even at your old school you were picked on, and you are convinced that it will be much worse at Eastpaw Junior High.

You remember the talk that you had with your parents before you left. They were big supporters of the whole "species integration" idea, and had agreed with some important anthro figure to send you on what they called a "big adventure". They insisted that there was nothing to be so afraid of, but what do parents know, anyway?

Up ahead, your heart pounds as your parent's car merges onto a much wider road. There is a small dotted line indicating where it is safe for humans to drive. Huge automobiles much larger than monster trucks zoom past the tiny car you are in as if it isn't moving at all. Time seems to slow down, and you feel like your going to your own funeral.

The open road shifts to busy streetways as the journey heads into the city. You look out the other window and see all sorts of giant paws lifting and stomping across the sidewalk. You try to look up, and you notice with fear that many of the anthros are looking at the tiny car oddly. As you see the school approaching, you are amazed that none of the giant anthros had decided to wreck the car.

The building is absolutely enormous: it is as tall as a thirty-story building and much wider, and yet the map of the school your were given clearly shows that the building is only three stories tall. The car stops, and you feel your heart do the same.

"Have a good first day at school, John!" your mother says before she blows you a kiss. Lifting your backpack, you hesitantly leave the false safety of the car. You notice that there is a small ramp leaning on the curb. At least you won't have any trouble getting onto the sidewalk. You walk cautiously up the ramp and stare in the direction of the school. You notice ...

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. A large, well-dressed ocelot staring down at you

2. You are on your own now

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
