Ms. Cruz's Antidote

Ms. Cruz places Alex on top of her desk, resting him up against a pile of science materials and books; Alex feels quite faint by now and doesn't know whether he might stay conscious for much longer. Still, Ms. Cruz instructs him to wait for her while she goes to grab her (experimental) antidote...
And not a second wasted, she sprints back with a mysterious glass container in her hand. "Got it, Alex!" she shouted. Alex looked up and saw her holding a full glass of weird purple matter. "Drink this, quickly! It's your only chance!"
Alex hesitated for a moment. The actual bottle was twice the height he was - how was he ever possibly to drink from something so big? Fortunately, Ms. Cruz saw him there and thought up a way - she picked him up and dropped him right in.
Immersed in the liquid, Alex began drinking it all up - it had quite a soury taste, but that didn't deter him. Eventually, however, he stopped...not because he was full, but because he could feel a tingling sensation. He knew that something was about to happen now.
