You don't know what you were thinking running outside like that. You could have been killed! Not that you can't be killed this way, too, but at least the building frame should provide some protection. It's like an earthquake, right?
You go inside only a few seconds before the power is knocked out. You already saw where you were going, so you continue and huddle under a doorframe, squeezed in with five or six other people. From there, you sit in the darkness and wait, hearing crashing all around you. Occasionally one of them gets close and you can feel the building shake. You close your eyes and wait for the end, but it never comes.
After about twenty minutes in the darkness, you still have little idea what's going on outside, but you're happy you're still alive. Then you hear the sound of planes whooshing overhead, telling you one thing: the army is here!
