The sea was shining a miraculous blue, the color of which couldn't be found anywhere outside the Grand Line. The Going Merry was currently slicing that blue aside as it traveled toward the next island indicated by the Log Pose. Nami was situated at the front of the boat looking out into the ocean, the map uncurled in her hand. Her finger was tracing a path along the islands trying to figure where the Log Pose was directing them. Down in the hold of the ship Sanji was preparing lunch for the crew while up in the crow's nest Usopp was keeping a lookout for enemy ships and the island itself when it chose to reveal itself. Zoro was sleeping in the shade while Luffy was leaning over the edge of the ship staring into the water. Everything was pretty quiet all things considered. Of course things never stay quiet for long on the Going Merry.
"I'M SO BORED!!"
Nami turned around with a frown on her face and said, "So do something to make yourself useful! Why don't you go and fish or something?"
Luffy pushed himself off the railing and landed on his back. "Nah, I did that this morning."
Nami sighed and said, "Well...why don't you just be patient until we make it to the next island?"
Luffy just stared at Nami.
"Why are you looking at me like that? It's not like I have a bunch of activities planned for you if you get bored or something!"
Suddenly Usopp called out from the crow's nest, "Land ho! I can see the next island!"
Luffy ran over to Nami and jumped out onto the figurehead of the Going Merry, scanning the horizon with a big grin on his face. Nami pulled out a telescope and managed to spot the island which was slightly to the right of the figurehead, Luffy's body slightly covering it. She looked at the Log Pose and found that it was pointing directly at the island.
"Great! We should be there in fifteen minutes at most!" Nami said happily.
Those fifteen minutes passed quickly as Luffy ran around excitedly with Usopp wondering what kind of adventures or treasures could be found on the island. Zoro woke up when they were five minutes from the island and Sanji came up a few minutes after that to tell everyone lunch was ready.
"No time!" Nami shouted grabbing Sanji by the collar and pulling him towards the edge of the ship. "We've got to search that island up ahead for treasure!"
"How do you know there's even treasure around here?" Sanji asked, shaking himself from Nami's grasp.
She grinned and pulled out a map. "Surprise! I have a map! I bought it at the last island we visited and it just so happens that the Log Pose was pointing toward the island where the treasure is! Now come on! You and me are going to look for it!"
Sanji instantly followed Nami, hearts in his eyes and grand ideas of romance in his head. Nami, perhaps sensing this, collected Usopp to help as well. This left Zoro and Luffy to explore the island themselves. Luffy quickly charged ahead and jumped off the ship onto dry land. Zoro followed and both took stock of the island. It was standard fare, covered in a large forest as far as they could see. Hurrying into the trees Luffy and Zoro moved from clearing to clearing looking for anyone or anything on the island. Luffy was quickly becoming disappointed as there didn't appear to be anything special on the island. When they entered another clearing and there was nothing but a pool of water and a small grove of fruit trees he collapsed next to the pool and moaned, "This place is so boring! It's just trees, trees, trees!"
Zoro sighed and sat down next to his cabin. "Well what were you expecting?"
Luffy shrugged and said, "I don't know. Some kind of monster or really great treasure or some weird guy. Anything like that."
"Well it doesn't look like anything like that lives here. It's just an ordinary boring island."
Zoro laid down on his back and put his arms behind his head relaxing once again. Luffy splashed the pool slightly and looked down into the water. The water was surprisingly clear. He could see right down into the water. He dipped his hands in and pulled out a handful, slurping it up. It tasted surprisingly sweet, almost like a fruit drink rather than water. It left a strange buzz in Luffy's mouth not unlike an alcoholic beverage. He was about to drink more when his stomach started growling loudly. Walking over to the trees Luffy picked a few of the fruits and ate one. The fruit was extremely tender the flesh practically exploding juice in his mouth. He gobbled up fruit after fruit his stomach filling far more quickly than it ever did before. Sighing in contentment Luffy laid down next to the pool and drank more of the water. He drank and drank until his stomach was a sloshing ball. He turned over onto his back and sighed, rubbing his swollen tummy. In a matter of seconds he was asleep.
As he slept the fruit and water worked into his system, the power they contained filling every corner of his being. His stomach quickly shrank back down to normal as the water was absorbed into Luffy's body. Within seconds Luffy's body started changing drastically. His muscles pulsed and slowly started growing. His swollen stomach had burst open his vest earlier showing a full view of his pecs swelling outward while his abs deepened and rose like bread in an oven. His arms followed suit bulging upward as his shoulders broadened and his back tapered out. His triceps equaled his biceps while his forearms strengthened, his hands growing larger and stronger. His feet quickly broke the straps on his sandals as they thickened and lengthened until they could support the massive upper body that was being created. His thighs grew wider, pressing up against each other as his calves bulged outward straining his shorts to the point of destruction.
Luffy continued to sleep on as the changes finished, his body growing taller until he would have stood a foot above even Zoro. This put him dangerously close to the pool. Almost one half of his body was hanging off the edge, his body inches from the magic water.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
