The nine-tailed fox, for sixteen, nearly seventeen years now, had been trapped inside the body of a boy. That boy was Naruto Uzumaki of the Hidden Leaf Village. Day after day, he had to remain in a seal, which binded his spirit to the young man.
Naruto had been gaining strength, sure. The nine tails had to admit this. However, what did Naruto have to show for it? He may have been a little thicker than he was before, but Naruto's body still was not the body you'd expect to hold a god within. At least, that's how the nine tails viewed himself; as a god. The nine tails couldn't take it anymore. Though he was a bit leery of the idea as it crossed his mind, he would soon be lending Naruto even more of his strength, making Naruto truly a worthy vessel.
Naruto had just finished a simple mission around the Leaf before he had the rest of the day to himself. He really disliked doing the small-time jobs. As always, he dreamed that he would get something bigger, more worthy of someone of his power! Still, like it or not, by Konoha's tradition, genin weren't allowed to take higher missions, nothing above a C Rank. Even though Naruto had power that rivaled that of even a jonin, heck, even more than a jonin, it was truly rare for him to be thrown a bone.
Naruto let out a sigh as he walked down to Ichiraku Ramen for lunch. The smell and taste of the ramen bar always put his mind at ease.
"Hey! Old man!" Naruto chimed in as he entered the stall.
"Naruto!" Teuchi, the ramen store owner, greeted, "How are 'ya, boy?" He asked, "The usual?"
"You know it!" Naruto said with a grin, sitting down at the stool. As he glanced around, no one else was there at the moment. "Slow day?" He then asked, making small talk.
"Nah, you just missed the lunch rush." Teuchi answered, serving Naruto up his bowl. "We ended up making more than we expected! This one's on the house!"
"Really? Cool!" Naruto smiled, taking his chopsticks apart. "Thanks!"
After his gratitude, he started to dig in, eating to his heart's content.
Naruto had a few more bowls, before heading on out. "Thanks again! I'll be back again tomorrow!" Naruto said as he left the store. He looked down at his stomach, which was bloated out just the smallest bit. "Oogh... Man, I'm full..."
Naruto made his way home to relax for a moment. After work and now with a full belly, it certainly made him tired out! As he arrived, he went over to his table to rest for a second. He sighed, rubbing his stomach, and without even meaning to, fell asleep in the chair!
The nine tails snickered to itself. The seal was still a little loose from previous encounters, so he was easily able to seep his power into the boy, causing what would be great changes within him... Naruto would soon have the body of a god, and all would know that it was this amazing child that held the even more amazing Nine Tailed Fox!
