Shenzi sighed as she woke up the next morning, yawning loud as she rolled sluggishly onto her feet, waddling to the mouth of her cave, seeing Banzai and Ed had already gone off somewhere to hunt, she laid down at the mouth of her cave, sighing to herself.
A couple of hours dozing later, she heard cackling, perking her ears up she looked over to see three Hyena females laughing as they looked at her, making her scowl. The middle female, possibly the leader let out a long laughing fit. "wow, look girls, a Hippo so far out from the watering hole, what are the odds?" she said, cackling madly with her friends
Shenzi snarled at the three, frightening them. "go jump off a cliff you scrawny little harlots!" She yelled, making the girls scowl and walk away, leaving her to sit back down on her flabby haunches, slowly looking over her massive fat body and letting out a sigh. ".....they're right....I am just a hippo in Hyena's clothing..." she said morosely to herself, getting up and waddling to the back of her cave, laying down and starting to cry.
Shenzi would have never resorted to crying back when she and her pack were at pride rock, yet, now as she lay there, fat and in her eyes, ugly, she felt like all her former toughness had softened with her body.
She lay there crying till the sun sat low in the sky, before she heard something behind her, slowly turning her chubby head to look, rolls forming on her fat neck as she bent it round to look, seeing Banzai looking at her in concern.
"...You ok Shen?" he asked, sitting next to her. Shenzi made a tough face, wiping her eyes with a paw. "yeah...fine..." she said, looking away, a slight pink blush tinging her cheeks.
Banzai narrowed his eyes. "Shenzi...what happened?" he asked, not believing her facade of toughgirl.
Shenzi looked at him with a slight scowl, before sighing, her look changing to one of depression. "...I'm fat..." she said, looking deeply ashamed, before hearing Banzai chuckle. "yeah i know Shenzi, you have been since we came here." he said, smirking at her, laughing as she looked at him in embarrassment.
"s-shut up Banzai!" she stuttered, growling, thought this only made her chubby face look pouty, making Banzai grin even more at her.
"whats the problem Shen?" he asked, smiling at her.
