Nick really didn't have time to make a decision before the sound of the toilet flushing nearly shattered his eardrums. Nick closed his eyes tightly and covered his ears for a minute, but he knew things were about to get worse. So he opened his eyes and tried to run as fast as he could, but slipped on a wet area of the floor. As he tried to pick himself up, he looked back to see Jeremy flush a second time before walking towards him.
The first step he took rattled Nick's body, and the second made it difficult for him to keep his balance. Still, he tried to move forward. He wasn't going to give up.
Unfortunately, Jeremy was getting closer and closer, and Nick was beginning to worry that he wouldn't get to safety in time.
