It almost worked.

Tails is back into his body, but now his fur is no longer brownish-orange but blue like Sonic.
"Oh no, it malfunctioned! I'm me, but not quite. I must get this fixed before I am needed or someone comes in and sees me like this.
Tails lays down under the machine and starts off.

Suddenly, there is a knock on the knock and the door opens. Tails calls out "Don't come in! I'm busy right now. Come back later!"

Too late. Tails hears someone say "Hey Tails, What are you doing?" He turns around and sees...
