Huh? It actually works.

Charmeleon decided that he might as well humor the guy for a while and stick around for the meal. He relaxed and began taking a nap while the machine kept working, feeding him ice cream.
Hours later he awake. Charmeleon didn't intend to sleep that long and he found his gut was three feet out in front of him. Also, his arms and legs were fattening up as well. His tail must have been plumper, but he couldn't see it while he was bound up. It was then that he noticed the tube was done and the scientist was laughing maniacally at him. enraged he decided to take his anger out on the doctor with a good old flamethrower, before he made his leave.
But when he opened his mouth to attack no fire came out. He tried a few more times, but he managed to only release a burp.
"Can't use your flame thrower I see. Well, maybe you should take a better look at yourself."
He helt out a mirror and to Charmeleon was shocked to see his red scales were now purple and his tail fire was out.
"You see you've only passed the first half of the experiment and are crossed between a fire and ice type pokemon so both powers cancle each other out. Now I'll continue the experiment and once your scales turn a more bluish hue and a icy fire on your tail you'll be done and the first ice-type charmeleon will be created. I wonder what I should call you. Chillmeleon... no. How about Coolmeleon. I'll think of something."
Charmeleon didn't know what to do. He could try and use his normal type attacks to escape, but to lose his fire moves would weaken him and without them he could no longer be a fire-type. If he stayed to complete the experiment he'd gain ice-type moves and then he would at least be stronger than he was currently. The only drawback was he might get even fatter than he was already.
