You lean in and kiss her. "Oh my god, I'm kissing my own body, this is so weird. I don't care, it's Karen." you think. "Karen, I've always loved you too, I never wanted to tell you because I was worried you didn't feel the same and it would mess up our friendship and-" you're cut off as she kisses you.
"I felt the same way, Jake. Pretty weird to be kissing ourselves, huh? Does this make me a lesbian?" she joked and the tension in the room lessened.
"If you're a lesbian then I'm gay." you tell her and you both start laughing. Karen's mom opens the door and looks at both of you.
"Hello Jake." She says looking at Karen. "I just got off work and heard you kids, what are you laughing about?"
"Um..nothing, mom. I'd like you to meet my boyfriend, Jake." you say, pretending to be Karen.
"So, you two finally got together, huh? I was wondering when you'd both confess your love." Karen's mom replies with a sly smile and leaves the room.
"She knew?" Karen asks. "Were we that easy to read?"
"I guess." you reply and kiss her again, you hear the phone ring downstairs and a few minutes later Karen's mom comes back.
"Jake, it was your mom, she wants you to come home. I'll give you a ride." she says. Karen looks at you, worried, then stands up and walks over to her mom.
"I'll see you at school tomorrow Jake." you say to her and she smiles back at you, still worried.
A few minutes later you look out the window and watch Karen's mom drive away with your new girlfriend, who is really her daughter, in the back seat.
