Jon wipes his mouth and shakes his head, trying to pull himself together. He looks back up to see his mother's face twisted into a mask of absolute disgust. He had never seen such a look before, at least not from this perspective. Yet he knew somewhere in the back of his child brain that this look meant his ultimate destruction if he didn't take action.
Jon struggles with all his might to free himself from the weed. His shirt begins to tear as he tries to grab hold of the weed and slide down its base. He finally tears free and gets in position when he feels the earth tremble. The giant tan foot of his mother is slowly lifting off the ground. Jon knows he doesn't have much time. He slides down the weed, creating cuts and scratches all over his body. He yells out in pain as he slides but he knows he cannot slow down. He lands on the rough dirt with a thump and falls backwards.
He looks up to see his mother's leg raised, her knee level to her stomach. He can see hundreds of wrinkles in the sole of her foot and in those wrinkles are tons of dirt and blades of grass. Jon gets up and begins to run preparing himself for the inevitable. He sees his brother and sister and dives for them. The foot obliterates the weed and impacts the ground with an earth shaking BOOM! Waves of dirt and dust are forced into the air creating a small cloud around it.
Jon rubs the dust out of his eyes, it was close. The foot is only 30 of his feet away from him and his siblings. He quickly moves and grabs both of them by their arms and begins to drag them into the nearby blades of grass. "I've got to wake them up and think of a plan" Jon says to himself.
Meanwhile, Sandra looks at the destroyed weed and smiles. The children must have gone to a friend's house for a swim, she thinks to herself. Sandra hears a noise behind her. It's her husband Gary with one of their relatives.
