Completely hysterical, you take to your heels and sprint into the distance as quickly as you can. Your deadly terror lets you reach a breath-taking speed, as you pass plenty of tall trees and bushes. Without turning back, you keep on running, noticing the tree density rising dramatically. Damn! It seems like you run deeper into the forest instead of reaching any signs of civilization. The solid ground underneath you slowly turns into a soft, muddy surface with every step you take. But you don't dare to stop now, for the giant creature might still be chasing you. After some seconds you reach some towering reeds, and frantically push them aside to fit through. However, a negligent move causes you to stumble over a hard rock, dropping right into a pit of soft, moist dirt. This wasn't ordinary soil, but the marshy ground of a swamp!
Landing on all fours, you attempt to crawl back to safety, only to realize there was no firm ground nearby. Moreover, your hands and feet begin to sink into the mud, locking you in your position. Your distressed struggling only speeds up the process, and soon your elbows and knees vanish into the mushy death trap. "Help! Please, somebody help me!" You scream at the top of your lungs. But being honest with yourself, this situation seems utterly hopeless. No human soul is around, and you can't find the strength to help yourself. A tear runs down your cheek. Your shouting continues; no words, merely the last death screams of a fool who ran blindly into his doom. Your face touches the mud, slowly being sucked into it. Expecting to be buried in a few seconds, you prepare for your last moments.
All of a sudden, you feel two giant fingers digging into the soil next to you, swiftly grabbing your torso. With a jolt, you're pulled out of the sludge and lifted up into the air. Gasping for air, you remove the dirt from your eyes and try to identify the huge creature that saved your life.
