Sitting on the floor, watching TV are your daughter and son. Actually technically, it’s your daughter sitting on the floor, your son is sitting on the top of her head watching TV from there. Your darling five-year-old son suffers from the same condition as you. Since he was born, you’ve tried to impart upon him all the lessons that you were forced to learn growing up. You’ve reminded him a hundred time the golden rules to always look above you, never stand on any seats and never try to climb a person. You like to think you’re really close with your son, which is something you can’t say about your daughter. She’s a sweet little girl, but you know she has trouble seeing you as an authority figure. At least she’s stopped calling you daddy-doll.
The cartoon the kids were watching ends and your daughter turns to you with a big smile. “Daddy-doll!” She squeals and races towards you. Sighing in frustration, you realize that you have to give your daughter another talk in respecting her father, which will be pointless, because face it, she doesn’t listen to you at all. Her tiny child hand grab you, while the other one takes her brother off her head. You look at your son in the other hand and he weakly smiles at you. He’s incredibly shy, only talking to you and his mother. It’s supposedly a phase according to your wife, but you still worry about him. Half the things you learned were from first hand experience. If your son stays cooped up inside, how will he learn to survive on his own like you did.
“Guess what daddy-doll, I learned a new thing today!” You smile at your excited daughter, she’s practically priming with energy. She’s always been the outgoing type, getting into trouble and what not. If something was broken, Jenny was usually involved. You smile up at her beaming face, trying to be the parental figure even if your daughter doesn’t believe it. “What did you learn today honey?”
