This choice: Going on a trip to the farm, you get to play with Josie. • Go Back...Chapter #4Long drive out. by: Jerec Rachel takes you to the sink and bathes you, before getting you dressed. "Alright honey, we're going on a trip to the farm. Ready for a nice week long family visit?" She asks, knowing you'll be excited to see your favorite cousin. You nod your head happily, jumping for joy in excitement.
The family has a quick breakfast before heading out to the car. As per usual, you sit on Tracy's lap in the passenger seat, while Tulip sits in her car seat in the back. You hope you can make it without Rachel forcing Tracy to hand Tulip her favorite toy, you. Now, it's not that you hate Tulip, or that she's out to get you. She's just a two year old, doing as two year olds do. She barely knows how to pronounce your name, let alone maliciously plot against you.
For now, you rest in your older sister's hands, nuzzled up to her own taught belly. She carefully holds you, keeping you safe from being thrown around in the car when it stops. The music is turned low so not to harm your smaller, more sensitive ears. Your family has gotten used to listening to music at lower volumes and have agreed to listen to music that is soft and soothing as well at Tracy's suggestion. You've taken a liking to the classical music that Tracy tends to listen to, partially because it is nice and soothing yet can also show different emotions and because it also tends to send Tulip to sleep so she doesn't play with you.
Your family continues to drive toward the farm, passing by the place where your dad got into a fatal car accident last year. A tear is shed by all the family members that knew him, including Tulip, even though she was only one at the time. It was lucky that he'd had a good life insurance policy on him at the time, thus why your mother can currently be a stay at home mother for you and the others, while Tracy continues to go to school without needing to work part time.
It's going to be a long trip out to the farm, you'll be there by the end of the day, just in time for dinner. You continue to enjoy your older sister's care as you wait to get there. What happens during the ride? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
