Pets:
Humans are pets. That's just how it is, now. The animals transformed, grew, and reversed our roles. Still, it's not that bad. Your owner cares for you pretty well. They even like to play with you from time to time. It's better this way, really. You see so many stray humans that get crushed, accidentally or otherwise. Worse things happen to others. The ones that try to resist and form their own societies among the rubble. The ones that try to rebel against their owners. You're not like them; you're loyal, you're a good pet. It's better this way. You're safe in your owner's gentle hands...and you can turn away and bury yourself into their body whenever you get a reminder of those that aren't.
The Farm:
You've always kept good care of your animals. Up every morning at seven o'clock exactly to make sure they're all fed and watered. Making sure they're all comfortable, from your dog to the sheep, to even the hens. You wouldn't dream of doing anything to harm any of them.
Well, it seems your attitude has payed off somewhat. One by one, your animals start to transform into half-human, half-animal hybrids, slowly growing day by day. It's a good thing that you cared so well for them, because you're not sure when they're going to stop growing. The only problem is that the same transformations have hit a farm a few dozen miles away from your own. And, unlike the animals that you cared for, these ones are angry. They want revenge on their owner, on humans, and now they have a way to get it.
Let's hope that the animals you once cared for can now protect you in kind!
