He saw a lot of fat people there. Many of them were Martin's target weight, 600 lb. of raw fat, some of them started getting muscle. He saw a lot of exercise equipment. He was scared, he realized he never signed up for this, it was a diet cruise. "Hey, I've been punked. Someone is trying to get me to lose all my precious fat weight. I got to get outta here." He tried jumping overboard, knowing he could float (due to his high fat levels) & swim well, but then he saw that there were metal bars too thick to go through.
