The magical contract

Your eyes are almost forcibly drawn over every word in the surprisingly long blue penned note. They glow with an otherworldy light as the binding magic leaps out of every letter as you read it and into you.

The note was actually a magical contract. Unlike ordinary contracts a magical one did not need signed. Centuries ago you needed a drop of blood to bind the doner to a contract. Nowaday's you can go as far as to get someone to agree to one by as much as reading it. Useful for when you wanted someone to agree to the contract without them being aware. Like right now he was more than halfway down the quickly drawn up document.

When he was finished he would be forced to follow it to the letter no matter what.
