“I get turned on by helping other women get fat,” Samantha responded before taking a sip of her sprite.
You nearly choke on your drink as you hear this. “That’s a pretty personal thing to share with a complete stranger,” you inform her after your coughing fit.
“Maybe. I’m not ashamed of it, so I don’t see the point in hiding it?” She admitted.
“Well, there’s a difference between hiding something and announcing it.”
“Well, you asked, so I answered. Besides, secrets don’t stay secret for long in a town this small. Easier to just let it out in the open. I’d rather tell everyone the truth about me than hear gossip whispered about me when people don’t think I can hear them,” Samantha had been looking into her glass as she talked. She seemed lost in her our mind for a bit before smiling and looking at you. “So, any secrets you want to get off your chest?”
“Um, well...I don’t know if it counts as a secret, but I think you’re really hot,” you blush. Samantha smiles a bit brighter before running a hand through her hair.
“Thank you, but I’m gay.”
“I figured from you confession. But, you asked if I had a secret so...”
“Fair enough.”
The two of you talk more as you order some appetizers to snack on. You tell her about where you grew up, the high school you went to, your previous job. It seemed you were tell your life story to this woman. Oddly enough, when you asked her about her past, she seemed to either deflect the question or give vague explanations. It was only her past that she neglected to talk about however. Anything and everything else she shared openly with you. Like how she enjoyed being on top during sex, or how she admitted to not liking movies.
“You really caused your friends car to crash into a ditch?” She laughed at you.
“It’s not my fault that a bee flew into the car. If he had the windows up that never would have happened.”
“Oh my god. Was the car alright?”
“Yeah, the only problem was we had no way of getting it out. We had to wait 3 hours for a tow truck to rescue us. Alex made me pay for it. I couldn’t eat lunch for the next two weeks.”
“I have to admit. It sounds like you deserved it, but I’d hate to leave anyone hungry.”
“It was fine. I needed to lose some weight back then anyway. Of course, it didn’t stay away long.”
“Why bother losing weight. You look fine to me.”
“Says the woman who likes to fatten people.”
“It’s just women I like to fatten. I’m neutral to men.”
“In more ways than one obviously.”
“Hehe,” Samantha laughed sarcastically.
“Last call,” the bartender announced.
“Is it 2 am already?” You asked checking your phone.
“Looks like. Well, I had a lot of fun talking with you Jake.”
“I did too.”
“I’d love to do it again sometime.”
“Sure. I get off at 5:00 pm during the week if you ever wanted to hang out.”
Samantha took a pen out of her purse and wrote her number on it before handing both to you. You give her your number as well before she leaves. Swaying her hips as she went.
“Dammit, why did she have to be gay!?” You question internally to yourself. You pick your head up off the bar that you had been sulking at before heading to your car.
