Just started writing this chapter and I need some ideas where to go next... |
I am writing a novel about a woman on the run, but I have hit a dry patch and need your help. So far I have my main character go thru a horrible last day at work, a break up with her supisious boyfriend, and a stalker following her home from the bus. What I need is something to build on to continue the story. I have some ideas but no one to bounce them off of...I was thinking of either giving Hanna, the main character, superhuman powers, or her roommates, Travis and Jamie. I am hesitant to use powers since there are SO many other stories about characters having super powers, such as mutants, vampires, werewolfs, and the such. So what do you think? If you think I should give a character powers, please take a minute to tell me which character and what power, along with a line or two about what you would like to read that would be interesting about that power; an example might be: Travis - the ablity to see into the future though his dreams and is prepared for when things happen. He drempt that Hanna was trapped in a car, and later, he helps her excape after being trapped in a car accident. OR Hanna - the ablity to breath underwater. She jumps off a bridge to excape and her captor jumps with her taking her down to the bottom. At first starts to panic but realizes she can breath and hold the man underwater until he drowns. Your description need to move me in some way so that I can brain storm and do research about the powers. So please give me something interesting! If you don't think the characters need powers, please help me come up with a reason for someone to want to try to capture/kill Hanna. Thanks for your help! If you are interesting in reading the story before answering to better understand what I'm asking of you, please check out ...
