Girls, Guess what happened to me today! Lord it was scary, but it makes me laugh to think about it, too. I was off in the fields today, just looking at things, picking wild flowers and looking through my binoculars at various mountain ranges and the rocky coast. I decided to go look through my binoculars at the llamas that are in a pasture (and behind a fence) nearby. I was looking at them, from about 80 feet away, and as usual, the dominant male rushed up to the fence and stared me down. But he's behind a fence, and even though he runs right up to it, he couldn't get out. Nathan and I always love screaming and running away for fun when the llama did that, you know, fun to be scared and whatnot. I was exclaiming outloud over how cute the newborn baby llama was in the pasture when I looked up and noticed the male llama looked like he was standing outside the fence, ears up, watching me intently. Then I realized he was! Immediatly I turned and started running away, hoping that he would see I was leaving and that he could just go back inside. However, I looked behind me and he was chasing after me! I let out a huge scream and sprinted towards the road where the fence is, tumbled through it, and continued running. But he was still after me. How horrifying to look behind me and see that massive, pissed off male charging after me, snorting and clomping along with his head down. He couldn't manage to jump the other fence, though! I just thought I would tell you all this. I don't even know why you'll be interested! It was really terrifying, but it makes me crack up. Beware of the llama! Hehe. Now I know how it would feel to be chased by a bull...or a dinosaur! Ack. "I've never had a humble opinion. If you've got an opinion, why be humble about it?" |
