If there's something that intrigues me is how Hannah is taking this. And even though you're the one who knows what's next, I feel "Stephanie's" advice can only go ill. There's three reasons why I'm thinking about this (and note - this is just a thought!) The first is that Will and Elsie barely know each other. Compared to Marc and Hannah, who are essentially an established couple, Elsie barely knows Will and is actually trying to meet him. The second, which is mostly looking at it from the writer's perspective, is that despite her carefree nature, Elsie's tied a lot to church things. While this can mean any kind of things, I feel Elsie would reject magic by principle - as fun as it may be, and as willing as she may be to pursue a relationship with Will, I believe there are things that even daredevils would just go "nope, no". (Basically, I'm seeing Elsie as another "learns about magic stuff and wants to try it", but the setup is highly going against it.) And the third is Hannah herself. She acted nicely towards Will but knows what Stephanie knows about him, so there may be some sympathy, but ultimately Hannah is going in a very dark direction. The way she thought of Stephanie's love for Marc is pretty callous, IMO, and how she targeted the soccer team for her hijinks suggests something else. It could go any way - Hannah thinking what has bound Marc and her will work on Will, neglecting to read the room, or she could actively try to make a move against Will to take over, or maybe something in between. Good thing is, the story has been steered into a definite path. I'm quite interested where Hannah, of all people, will take this - because that move she made is a power grab if I've seen any. |
