Given the time spent between Will's golemification and his escape (it's the next year), it's possible they completed the test and moved forward, which makes the anima bands viable. That said, Prussian's right in that they can be a risky proposition. As for Robert - it's evident that he's one of the two Charles, but whether he's golemized (and "Robert" is one of the masterminds) or part of the plan is still up in the air. Sure, there's the evidence of "Charles" waking up too fast, but it's not as conclusive as the real Robert being there in that room (in one way or another). At this point, the surprise twist would be that real!Robert is the one talking to Will because it identified him. Part of the reason I point this is because there must be a reason to deduct Will is under Mrs. Lowell-Whitney's mask. Remember that Will can go deep cover effortlessly - someone would need to tie the knots to realize that Will escaped control, that he took a mask, that he deliberately targeted Mrs. Lowell-Whitney, and that he's currently on the mask. That profundity of conclusion is almost Bredon-esque - unless Will somehow triggered a reaction that someone would easily identify under Carol's identity. And of everyone, the one who'd be able to identify him the best would be Robert. Now, it's obvious Zachary ratted Will out, but Zachary isn't supposed to know that's Will. He never identified himself as Will, for one. And Zachary must've been a magnificent actor to feign being surprised by seeing himself alongside Charles. Unless Zachary went and faced the others and, given how "Carol" asked about the Prescotts, they're basically winging it and supposing Will is under the mask and somehow escaped confinement. I feel the bigger question is if Zachary/"Marius" was already dealing with the masterminds or not - because that would lead to whether they suspected Will broke off his conditioning or not. I guess the "bruh" from Robert is throwing me off - it suggests that whoever that is knows that Will's under Carol's mask. And wouldn't that mean that at least four more people would also be free from their control because of what happened to whoever commanded, and either they reunited them all (which would rat out Will by deduction) or they made the wildest guess. |
