The real distinction here would be what is "mental" vs what is physically the "mind." Many aspects of the workings and problems of the brain are physical that would be caught in a mask but not caught in a mind band used alone. Think of the mind band as copying data. The mask would be copying the physical aspects and constraints accessing the data. So would Will, or whoever, be 100% affected by the physical abnormalities of the brain just as he would if the person only had one arm or one eye or can't walk? Does the "magic" make exceptions to allow the wearer to overcome those. I think not. Will does have the data from his mind. He knows how to use both hands and eyes and to walk, but he can't physically. This is just my interpretation. Who knows how it really works? Oh yeah. That person. Here's another one of my thoughts: When it comes to pregnancy, I don't think the "magic" would allow copying physically at all if there is both mother and infant (s), the mind band especially since it, supposedly, can only make a copy of one mind. Yeah, yeah, if it ain't on the head, it won't copy the mind anyway, we think. If a mask, and I assume the mind band, can determine if it's placed on a human or not to whether it will work copying, it can tell more things like pregnancy, possibly other issues as well. Great questions and discussion. Next would be co-joined twins. Does the mask copy both twins physically and mentally or just half? Or we can keep that discussion until Will runs away to join the circus. |
