It depends on how long your chapters are. I've got novels with 18 chapters and novels with 98 (granted, the latter is a LOT longer). If you're writing an adult novel, the sweet spot seems to be in the 90,000 words area. There are exceptions for some genres, like SFF, which can go higher. So if you write a chapter a day, assuming 90k, you're aiming for 3000 words per chapter.
