Hmmm. Characters you've developed and who you like but who have never found a good realization in the story. That's an interesting question, but I don't really have any. That's because I develop the characters by writing them. Almost by definition, then, I don't have any "developed" characters I like but who I've never used. The closest I've got are characters who I know and like just enough to want to find out more, but who have never "sparked" enough for me to bring them out and give them the full treatment. Spencer Osbourne is probably at the top of this list. Alternately, there are some characters who I develop and like, but who I've never returned to because they're so distant from any other part of the interactive. Alec "Brownie" Brown (a wrestler) is one of these. Leah Simmons is another. A related topic: Characters who have fizzled. I don't even like thinking about this one. There's too many and each one hurts as a defeat. At the pointy end of this upside-down list has to be Lisa Yarborough. I've stopped pretending that even the other characters find her interesting. She's an unflavored snow cone, a pile of shaved ice in a paper cup. |
