Here are some ideas for your consideration.

Make a short term positive goal, take the initiative to accomplish it, then come back to edit the entry with the results.

Write about what positive coping mechanisms you have developed.

Write an article that educates the public about one form of mental illness.

Find an individual in the public eye (actor, musician, etc.) who is outspoken about their personal diagnosis of mental illness. In what ways are they creating change in how the public views the disorder?
