Although I seem to be on schedule, I don't know how to get around things that are taking extra time, things I didn't see coming during the prep. And I thought with my prep, I was well-equipped.
I probably needed to make a more usable timeline chart or outline of storytime during the prep. Just the coordination of people and events are taking some extra time.
Also, I wrote the most difficult scene (so far) this morning, the car crash which is a turning point. This is because I was only in fender benders and in one crash which my husband was the driver, but nobody was hurt in any one of them. Lucky for me, but I had to stop and research and read a lot.
I guess I could just put a marker in a difficult scene and go ahead with the rest of the novel, but the story would lose its continuity inside my mind. I'll do that only if I fall far behind as to word count.
