I have been on websites before that do this thing called roleplaying. You make up a character based off a certain plot (Ex. Nazi Germany. your character is a Jewish girl) and so does the other person you are roleplaying with. You follow a plot and sometimes a specific setting, and it's a fun hobby to get into. You write a post to the person you're RPing with and they reply. It is storytelling, one post at a time, and between two people.

Ex.
Writer A: Kelly sat at the desk, her long fingers tabbing at the space bar as nothing came to her mind. Suddenly, the phone rang. "Who could that be,?" She wonders as she goes to the phone.

Writer B: John was nervous about calling Kelly. Although he's been her best friend for the past two years or so, he wanted to take their relationship rather than that. His mind fumbled over the words he would use to ask her out to the Junior prom, when the ringing stopped and he heard her voice.
"Hello?"
