No magic answer for this one. The only "real" answer that I know of is that you not let yourself become disenchanted with writing for lack of motivation. A lot of people confuse being in the zone with being motivated. Its two different things, entirely. Real motivation is largely a matter of saying, "I will!", then just doing it. Being "in the zone" is much more complicated. ( Some call it finding the muse) When you find that magic zone, you see the story with solid gold clarity, the words flow like water through a wide-open faucet, and at the end of the session, you're left thinking that writing is the easiest thing in the world. Unfortunately, "zoning" doesn't happen every day. I know of no way to kick-start it. No any majic incantations, or sacrificial offerings that'll bring it about. I DO know this. If you do sit down at the keyboard and start typing, you [i]might[/i] find the zone, and you might not. But if you DON'T sit down and start typing, you'll sure as heck never find it.
