Re: Number one, Mr. Eddie Van Halen
Thank you for the post... You'll probably think I live in a cave or something, but I only ever heard the name 'Journey' before you posted this. I've already gone out and borrowed a few CDs in my local library and I pormise to squeeze them in my busy schedule sometime soon.

And YES... GO EDDIEEEE :) Though I must admit that comparing the likes of say Alexi, Slash, Eddie and Eric is virtually impossible anyways :)

Some people (im not sure if it was you chrichtondog) are complaining Metallica isn't higher... I dunno really... Though they undoubtedly have some amazing guitar work, I think that it is more of a mega-super-effort-one-song, then the rest of the CD really comes up short... Consider even their greatest album 'One'.... try going through all the tracks... Maybe its just me, but try the same with Number of the Beast (Iron Maiden), Follow the Reaper (Children of Bodom) or Crimson Thunder (Hammerfall) [I know these arent thrash bands and play different music, but strictly from the metal-guitarists POV, i feel they're on a different level]
