[Introduction]
My Thumbs Up on Animal Testing
Animal testing is the use of animals for the further advancement in medical and surgical procedures. Every year countless of live animals are being used to be experimented on. Such experiments include injections of toxins into the bloodstream, injections of various types of viruses/diseases and the effects of different operations similar used with humans. With the practice of animal testing, an abundant amount of arguments and protests have been part of the negative outcomes. Therefore, countless acts of liberating animals and the destructions of experimenting labs have been reported all around the world. Is the use of experimenting really necessary for the survival of the human race?
In my opinion, I believe that animals are a key essential towards saving the lives of humans. Even though the lives of certain animals are at stake, it is a small price to pay. I have researched about the gruesome techniques used on these animals but the compared to when animal testing was first being utilized, limitations have been set. Such limitations include the using of protocols and a set amount of toxins can only be injected into an animal at a time. With the use of protocols, models of the animals being tested on, the life of that an animal is guaranteed to be saved. Also with a fixed amount of toxins being injected these animals the numbers of deaths are being lessened each year. To conclude, animal testing have been part of different societies around the world and trying to demolish it completely is a very hard task to accomplish. With the results such as, vaccines being developed, this habit will be difficult to break.
