Outside in the winter darkness,
the soft snow silent falling, a few cars hissing past and
the fog, the glowing breath of streetlamps,
whispering secrets beyond our hearing,
while the trees let slip their burden,
plumping to the hidden ground,
and we in here, safe and warm.
